Job Description

St Martins has a part-time vacancy for an Independent Living Support Worker to work in the community in Norwich.

This is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2026, 30.4hrs per week - Monday to Friday, days to be discussed at interview but a Friday is required as one of those days.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working with people who self-neglect and hoard or if you have an insight into these challenges and a passion to support people facing them.

 

The post holder will work in the community, usually in the home of the person receiving the support to promote independence and choice, so driving is essential. You will be supporting the person with the needs identified during their social care act assessment

Independent Living Support Worker Job Description 

You can expect:

 

A comprehensive training programme, whilst gaining experience in the fields of criminal justice, social care, mental health, and housing law.

You will have a personal development programme tailored to your interests within our field of work.

Up to 29 days holiday and from your first day an additional ‘birthday’ holiday to be taken in your birthday month.

Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)- that provides a 24hr helpline to support you and those living at the same address (over the age of 16) through any of life’s issues or problems. Including up to 6 sessions of face-to-face, telephone or online counselling, per issue, per year, including CBT.
