Join a mission-driven organisation at the forefront of global education reform. As our Inclusion & Accessibility Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in embedding equality, diversity, inclusion, belonging (EDIB), and accessibility across our international education strategy, culture, and products. This is a unique opportunity to shape inclusive learning experiences for schools and learners worldwide, while influencing organisational change in a complex, global setting.
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
About the role
The Inclusion & Accessibility Lead supports the Head of Inclusion & Accessibility and the International Education product group in general in shaping, developing, and stimulating activities that promote and enable EDIB and accessibility. This role works with the Head of Inclusion & Accessibility and International Education (its Board and all colleagues) to set our ambition for both our people and our products, and to focus on the things that will have the most (preferably measurable) impact.
Together with the Head of Inclusion & Accessibility, the Lead will make an evident difference and provide support to our colleagues and stakeholders, of all backgrounds, life experiences and differences, and help us to appreciate what we have in common, respect different perspectives, and enable vital conversations.
You'll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to:
Drive measurable impact through strategic EDIB initiatives.
Develop global inclusion frameworks and accessibility compliance programmes.
Champion inclusive product development and cultural responsiveness.
Lead internal communications and showcase EDIB progress.
Represent Cambridge in high-level discussions and external engagements.
This role offers the chance to make a visible difference—supporting colleagues of all backgrounds, mentoring others, and helping build a more equitable future in education. If you're passionate about inclusion, culturally competent, and ready to lead change across borders, we'd love to hear from you.
This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.
About You
We're seeking a passionate and strategic changemaker who thrives in complex, multicultural environments and is deeply committed to advancing inclusion, accessibility, and belonging in education.
Key Qualities:
Empathy and cultural sensitivity – able to listen deeply, understand diverse perspectives, and foster psychological safety.
Integrity and discretion – trusted to handle confidential and sensitive issues with care.
Curiosity and openness – motivated to learn from others, challenge assumptions, and embrace new ideas.
Essential Skills:
Strong knowledge of EDIB principles, accessibility legislation (e.g. European Accessibility Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Equality Act 2010), and Universal Design.
Experience in embedding inclusion into strategy, product development, and organisational culture.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across levels.
Data literacy, including impact measurement and reporting (Power BI experience is a plus).
Ability to navigate global cultural contexts and legal frameworks.
Motivations:
A genuine drive to make education more inclusive and equitable for all learners.
A desire to lead change and build frameworks that have lasting, measurable impact.
A commitment to collaboration and mentoring, supporting others in their EDIB journey.
