In Room Dining Server (casual - approximately 16 hrs/week)

Our guests are always at home at Fairmont Vancouver Airport – and their In Room Dining experience is no exception!

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have full knowledge of all beverage lists
• Deliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate manner
• Pick up orders efficiently from the kitchen
• Check outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set up
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Replenishing of in room refreshment centers
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Coverage of the overnight shift required
• Other duties as assigned

• Previous Food & Beverage service experience an asset
• Previous Point of Sale System experience preferred
• Must possess and maintain valid Serving it Right certification
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Willing and able to work a variety of shifts including AM, PM & Overnight

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.  The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
