ABOUT THE ROLE
PwC's Deals practice advises clients across the transaction lifecycle – M&A strategy, due diligence, valuations, transaction services, and post-deal value creation. We are looking for a senior Business Technologist who combines deep AI/technology fluency with sharp commercial instincts to reimagine how deal teams work. You will lead end-to-end transformation initiatives, build AI-powered solutions, and drive adoption across partners, directors, and deal teams.
Responsibilities:
Identify high-value use cases across Deals workflows (diligence, financial analysis, reporting, CIMs, data rooms) and translate them into AI-enabled solutions.
· Design, prototype, and deploy solutions using GenAI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini), LLM orchestration frameworks, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows.
· Hands-on build of automations using Python, SQL, low-code platforms (Power Platform, Alteryx), and APIs to reduce manual effort and turnaround time.
· Partner with Deals leadership to shape the technology roadmap, prioritise investments, and quantify business impact (effort saved, margin uplift, win rate).
· Lead change management – stakeholder engagement, training, playbooks, and adoption tracking – to embed new ways of working across the practice.
· Govern solutions for data security, responsible AI, and compliance with PwC's Trust and risk frameworks.
Demonstrated track record of building and scaling AI/automation products that delivered measurable business outcomes – not just proofs of concept.
· Strong hands-on coding skills (Python essential; familiarity with JavaScript, SQL, cloud services on Azure/AWS, and vector databases is a plus).
· Fluency with the modern AI toolchain – prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, LangChain/LlamaIndex, MCP, and evaluation frameworks.
· Exceptional stakeholder management; able to influence Partners and senior clients, and translate between business and engineering audiences.
