Job Description
PwC India is seeking an Director to lead large-scale transformation programs in the Power & Utilities sector. The role focuses on Digital Grid Modernisation, Smart Metering, Smart Grid, AMI, ERP/CIS transformation, Energy Transition, and Utility Strategy.
The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise, strong stakeholder management, and a proven track record of delivering complex multi-geography utility programs.
Responsibilities
1. Lead Large-scale Utility Transformation Programs
• Drive end-to-end digital and operational transformation across Transmission, Distribution, and Generation utilities, including SCADA/EMS, ADMS, DERMS, and Smart Grid programs .
• Lead Smart Metering (AMI) programs covering architecture, financial modeling, DPR/RFP creation, vendor management, and program governance.
2. Strategy, Policy & Advisory
• Develop Utility Vision, Roadmaps, Enterprise Architecture, and Digital/Smart Grid strategies for Utilities
• Shape Decarbonization and Energy Transition strategies, including off-grid solar, feeder solarization, DER integration, and utility readiness frameworks.
3. Thought Leadership & Innovation
• Build and scale PwC assets in Digital Maturity Assessment, Analytics, AI/ML, and Smart Grid solutions; develop tools similar to Program Optimization Models and benchmarking frameworks .
• Publish POVs, lead capability development, and represent PwC in industry forums.
4. Business Development & Client Relationship Management
• Drive revenue growth through solutioning, proposal development, and building long-term CXO and government relationships.
• Lead pursuits in Smart Grid, AMI, ERP/CIS, and Energy Transition, leveraging strong sales success.
5. Leadership & People Development
• Manage cross-functional teams (consultants, data scientists, architects, analysts)
• Mentor teams, foster inclusion, and champion neurodiversity in the workplace.
Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years in Power & Utilities consulting (Digital Grid, Smart Metering, Smart Grid, ERP/CIS, Energy Transition) across India. Experience with other territories will be an added advantage.
• Deep knowledge of Utility Operations, IT/OT systems, Grid Modernization, Analytics, and AI/ML use cases.
• Strong capability in program management, stakeholder engagement, and C-suite advisory.
