We are looking for a talented, dedicated professional to be a Beijing or Shanghai based In-Country Representative (China) supporting Monash University Malaysia via Grok Global Services’ Program Office. The successful candidate will primarily focus on assisting in the promotion of Monash Malaysia’s programs to prospective students, their parents; education representatives and other stakeholder in the Chinese.
This position will be working alongside the Global Recruitment Manager to achieve the international student recruitment target for China across the programs offered by Monash University Malaysia.
The position is also tasked with developing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders including future students, their parents and guardians; key agent partners; and Monash University as well as internal stakeholders including Admissions, Marketing, and School staff amongst others.

Key results area and responsibility
Provide accurate and timely information to stakeholders/prospective students with strong focus on customer service
Maintain up-to-date and excellent product knowledge across all study areas and levels.
Provide a customer focused service to prospective students and parents by providing high level communication, responding to inquiries either face to face, via telephone, mail or email, including queries related to admissions procedures with accurate and comprehensive information.
Pro-actively engage with prospective students and/or parents to highlight the reasons to choose Monash as a study destination.
Contribute to answering CRM enquiries as and when required.
Update, compile and maintain client/prospective student data through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Collaborate closely with our marketing partners to manage social media campaigns, advertisements, and other promotional activities
Achieve the targets set for International recruitment
Contribute to the overall effort by the student recruitment team.
Support agents to achieve the student recruitment targets.
Organize student recruitment activities targeted at key secondary schools at assigned region(s).
Develop and maintain relationship with agents and school counsellors.
Communicate to key audiences such as students, parents, and teachers.
Participate in visits, exhibitions, fairs, and key recruitment events (as & when required).
Assist and manage the student recruitment process through direct submission and agents
Follow up calls or emails to the agents/clients/prospective students to ensure high conversion enrolment rate.
Ensure that information from prospective students is captured and recorded.
Provide administrative support for the mobility and student transfer initiative.
Engagement with the School/Faculty
To act as liaison person between Future Students office and School/Faculty to provide advice and recommendations regarding course promotion and recruitment programs.
Coordinate and assist in event/activities in promoting the School/Faculty.
Facilitate appropriate faculty involvement in recruitment campaigns.
To communicate with the School/Faculty on all marketing and enrolment related matters such as marketing activities, admissions, requirements, new procedures, provide market insights on clients/prospective students’ need and market trend.
Any other duties as directed.
Key selection criteria
Essential
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing or related areas from a recognized university and at least 3 years of working experience in domestic or international marketing and recruitment, preferably in education industry with a sound knowledge in both local and Australian education sectors.
Fluency in both English and Mandarin. Candidates with Cantonese language skills will be highly regarded.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, liaise, consult and negotiate with clients and colleagues at all levels and ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to tailor presentation to a variety of audiences.
Ability to interpret and relay complex information about courses and admissions procedures to students and parents in a courteous and professional manner.
Excellent planning, organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
Ability to operate under tight deadlines and multiple projects and able to adapt to changes in work responsibilities and environment.
Result oriented and possess a high degree of integrity, initiative, and commitment.
Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills, including demonstrating ability to source, analyse and disseminate information and to use such information to make informed marketing decisions.
Excellent computer skills with demonstrable experience in current business software applications.
Other job related information
Regular travel and work in all parts of the region(s) assigned for roadshows, school exhibitions, major trade fairs and school visits.
Regular need to work during weekends and after office hours.
In some instances, may be required to be based in office (in Malaysia) for a specific period of time or during peak enrolment period.
