Job Description & Summary:

We are seeking a proficient Workday Absence Functional Expert responsible for configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the Workday Absence module. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth experience in managing leave of absence, time off plans, and accrual processes. With a focus on optimizing workflows and ensuring compliance across various territories, this role demands strong problem-solving skills and effective communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• At least 4 years of experience in maintaining the Workday Absence module configuration, tenant setup and BPs definitions.
• Expertise in configuring leave of absence, time off plans, eligibility for absence types, accruals, absence calendars, work schedules, notifications, approval workflows.
• Experienced with mass uploads using EIBs, mass operations management (MOM) task, purging data, calc fields, and migrating configurations between tenants.
• Have a good understanding of HR processes and worker data.
• Knowledge of at least one other Workday module, such as HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Reporting, Onboarding, Security, Talent, Recruiting or Payroll (for Canada and the UK).
• Skilled in resolving complex issues, recommending solutions, and assessing dependencies on Workday functionalities and interfaces.
• Good understanding of core ITIL processes (Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, etc.) and information security and data protection standards
• Experience in customer support using ticketing systems; knowledge of SLAs and support KPIs
• Extensive stakeholder management skills and excellent communication skills
• Demonstrate an understanding of business operations within a large multinational organization, including factors such as time zone variations, cultural diversity, and collaboration among team members across multiple locations.

· Completed Workday training and earned PRO/Partner Certification in the area of expertise

· Works well alone or with a team

Mandatory skill sets:

· At least 4 years of experience with Workday Absence module configuration and management.

· Expertise in configuring leave of absence plans, time off plans, and accrual processes.

· Proficient in mass uploads using EIBs and managing mass operations.

· Strong understanding of HR processes and worker data.

· Excellent problem-solving abilities and stakeholder management skills.

· Completed Workday training and earned PRO/Partner Certification in the area of expertise.

Preferred skill sets:

· Knowledge of at least one other Workday module, such as HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Reporting, Onboarding, Security, Talent, Recruiting, or Payroll (for Canada and UK).

· Understanding of core ITIL processes (Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, etc.) and information security and data protection standards.

· Experience in customer support using ticketing systems; awareness of SLAs and support KPIs.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
