A Day in the Life
We are seeking an Import Analyst responsible for managing end-to-end processes, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and optimization of logistics costs. This role requires a proactive professional with strong analytical skills and a continuous improvement mindset, capable of working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
The individual will play a key role in decision-making and problem-solving. Experience in international trade (air and ocean freight) is essential, along with exposure to the medical devices industry and interaction with regulatory authorities such as Anvisa, Decex, and Inmetro. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment and has a hybrid working model with presence in our office in São Paulo/SP.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• Manage end-to-end import/export processes, ensuring timelines, costs, and quality standards are met
• Ensure regulatory and documentation compliance with customs authorities and relevant agencies (e.g., Anvisa, Decex, Inmetro), as well as internal Trade Compliance policies
• Coordinate and collaborate with external partners such as customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and terminals
• Work closely with internal departments (Planning, Logistics, Finance, Tax, Regulatory) to align demands and resolve operational issues
• Monitor shipments, proactively identifying risks and taking action to prevent delays or operational impacts
• Analyze processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Support projects related to international trade, contributing to process and system enhancements.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in English is required (reading, writing and speaking)
• knowledge of Brazilian customs regulations and key agencies such as ANVISA, INFRAERO, and Port Authorities, with understanding of DUIMP and NPI requirements
