A community hospital in eastern North Carolina is seeking a BE/BC Med-Peds or Internal Medicine physician to join a high-quality hospitalist program in a nocturnist role. This opportunity offers a supportive practice environment with an established inpatient team. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome to apply.
Highlights include:
• Employed hospitalist position
• Practice based at an 81-bed community hospital
• Established Med-Peds hospitalist program with 6 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider
• Flexible scheduling: (3) 14-hour shifts per week or (6) 14-hour shifts every other week
• Coverage of a 9-bed open ICU with tele-intensivist support
• ICU responsibilities include ventilator management, lumbar punctures, and central line placement
• Fully integrated EPIC electronic health record
• Strong specialty support including General Surgery, Cardiology, ENT, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Sleep Medicine, Speech Therapy, and Physical Therapy
• Average nightly admission volume of approximately 6 patients

Requirements:
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Med-Pediatrics
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina
• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
• Interest in nocturnist practice and inpatient medicine
• Comfortable managing ICU-level patients, including ventilator management, central line placement, and lumbar punctures
• Strong clinical decision-making skills in an acute care setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with nursing staff, specialists, and tele-intensivist support
