IELTS Examiner

Role: IELTS Examiner

Reports to: IELTS Administrator

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota 

Compensation: $48 per hour

Description: 

ELS Minneapolis, Minnesota - ELS Language Center is seeking a Certified IELTS Examiner to conduct one-to-one interviews with IELTS candidates to assess their spoken English according to set requirements. 

Job Duties: 

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

Examine test takers on Saturdays and Sundays.

Maintain confidentiality and security in all aspects of IELTS 

Comply fully with the Examiner Code of Practice and IELTS Confidentiality Undertaking 

Undertake scheduled standardization training and re-certification 

Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes: 

Familiarity with the IELTS examinations is an asset 

Excellent customer services skill 

Ability to exercise judgment in varying situations involving stressed candidates 

Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills 

Must be team-oriented 

Strong interpersonal skills and time management needed.

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree

TESOL or Applied Linguistics Certification

At least 3 years of full time relevant TESOL teaching experience

Majority of teacher experience related to adult students (16 years and over)
