Compensation

• Base Pay: $31.86 – $46.28/hr (based on experience)

• ~5 Years: $36.12/hr

• ~10 Years: $40.44/hr

• ~17+ Years: $46.28/hr

• Shift Differentials:

• Nights: +$4.50/hr

• Weekends: +$1.50/hr

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (Days) | $20,000 (Nights) – available through Q3

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated ICU Stepdown RN to join a collaborative team in a 15-bed intermediate care unit. This true stepdown/PCU environment offers a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio (occasionally 4:1) caring for patients who require drips, long-term ventilators, and frequent assessments.

This role is ideal for nurses who excel in high-acuity care and want to bridge ICU and med-surg while working alongside a supportive, experienced interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform frequent assessments and monitor patients requiring close observation.

• Manage cardiac drips, long-term ventilators, and stepdown-level treatments.

• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans.

• Promote a culture of teamwork, patient safety, and excellence in care.

Required:

• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license

• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU Stepdown experience

• Will also consider RNs with 3+ years in Cardiac or Multisystem PCU

• ADN or Nursing Diploma

• NIH Stroke Scale (within 30 days)

• BLS (within 30 days) & ACLS (within 6 months)
