SV Tech Systems is recruiting for their Client in Minneapolis, MN for a consultant with mainframe COBOL programming experience as well as experience in migration of COBOL applications to .NET

Title : IBM Mainframe Developer

Location : Minneapolis, MN

Start date : 2/2/2015

Experience and Skills Required

• 5-7 years of experience with mainframe COBOL programming experience with intermediate knowledge of IBM mainframe databases both IMS and DB2 and CICS.

• 5-7 years of experience with JCL, Panvalet and Easytrieve

• 5-7 years of experience with defining MFS screen layouts and testing with BTS

• Advanced skills in reading and understanding technical requirements and technical drawings

• Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must

• Strong interpersonal skills is a must

• Ability to read and understand existing IBM mainframe IMS COBOL and IBM Mainframe DB2 COBOL code and modify to new technical or business requirements

• Ability to write clear technical/specification documents

• Intermediate understanding of SQL databases and query structure.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010+

• Experienced in IBM Mainframe RCF (security)

• Experience in migration of COBOL applications to .NET (desired)
