As a key member of the Global Payroll Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for monthly payroll processing activities and ensuring timely processing of salaries, while identifying and executing continuous improvements to processes.

Job Description

At NielsenIQ, it is important for us to be connected in many ways.  As part of the Global Payroll Center of Excellence, the Payroll Analyst will play a critical role in delivering Payroll Services across our Europe Region. This incumbent will work cross-functionally with HR and other internal and external Stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely salaries of associates, whilst also identifying and executing continuous improvements to processes. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

• Monthly Payroll processing activities, ensure pay is processed on time, accurately, completely and in compliance with all regulations.
• Deliver all year end payroll processes.
• Ensure all SOX compliant controls relevant to the payroll process are executed
• Support with internal and external audit and tax-related activities, including preparation of data and evidence as required
• Support with Finance and HR queries
• Build positive relationships to ensure successful collaborations to be able to respond to internal payroll questions and handle ad-hoc payroll requests.
• Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to resolve any payroll-related issues and ensure consistent communication.
• Support with payroll and ad hoc reports as required
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll operational experience in Spain and Portugal is mandatory. 
• Understanding of Spanish and Portuguese payroll legislation.
• Fluency in English; Spanish and Portuguese highly valued.
• SAP / Workday / Strada vendor experience a plus
• Experience across other Western European countries will be an added advantage
• Attention to detail, professional awareness, and sense of urgency for employee questions; be able to spot errors or exceptions quickly.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communicator and collaborator.
