Hydro-Vac Operator / Crew Supervisor

Location: Western PA - WV - OH 
Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

About Us:

Costy's Energy Services, a leader in Hydro-Excavation services for the Oil & Gas industry, is seeking experienced Hydro-Vac Operators to lead and manage crews. This role requires hands-on operation of Hydro-Vac trucks, supervision of field crews, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and instruct crews in Hydro-Excavation, pit cleaning, tank cleaning, and other Oil & Gas-related cleaning services.

Operate Hydro-Vac trucks to perform non-destructive excavation, fluid removal, and site cleaning tasks.

Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols, company procedures, and regulatory guidelines (DOT, OSHA, etc.).

Train and develop crew members, ensuring competency in equipment operation and job execution.

Communicate effectively with clients, site supervisors, and internal teams to coordinate job requirements and expectations.

Conduct pre- and post-job inspections of equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.

Maintain accurate records, including job logs, reports, and crew performance evaluations.

Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Be available for long shifts, overtime, and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications:

CDL-B with Tanker Endorsement (Required)

1+ years of commercial driving experience (Required)

1+ years of Hydro-Vac or heavy equipment operation experience (Preferred)

Leadership or supervisory experience in a field operations role (Preferred)

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. No medical exemption. (Mandatory)

Strong knowledge of Hydro-Excavation processes and oil & gas site operations

Ability to train, coach, and manage crews while maintaining efficiency and safety
