HWRC Operative - Strathaven
• Hourly rate: £12.40
• 4on 4off shift pattern.
• Summer hours (1st April – 30th September):
• Monday to Friday: 08:45 – 20:15
• Saturday: 08:45 – 19:15
• Sunday: 08:45 – 18:15
• Winter hours (1st October – 31st March):
• 07:45 – 17:15 (7 days a week)
Biffa is looking for a HWRC Operative to assist the public at our Larkhall Household waste centre with recycling and waste.
Your core responsibilities
• Working with the public to maximise recycling on sites.
• Manual handling items on site assisting the public with various waste and recycling.
• Helping to ensure the site is clean and tidy at all times.
• Be proactive in promoting and maintaining a safe and friendly working environment.
Our essential requirements
• Experience in dealing with the general public.
• Good people skills.
• Experience in the waste industry helpful but not essential.
• Will be required to work weekends.

• Must have a full UK driving license
• Must have own transport
