HVAC Technician

You possess experience working with a range of systems such as VRF/VRV, ASHP, WSHP, and hospitality refrigeration.

You communicate effectively with customers and can clearly explain technical issues in a non-technical way.

Core Responsibilities

Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining HVAC systems and ensuring the comfort and safety of our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

Servicing and maintaining HVAC systems, including VRF/VRV systems, ASHP/WSHP, packaged and split A/C, heat pump systems, RTUs, and more.

Providing clear and timely feedback to dispatch and customers, resolving any system issues effectively.

Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Assembling and installing components such as motors, controls, valves, and compressors using hand and power tools.

Testing installed heating units, adjusting controls for optimal performance, and performing scheduled maintenance. 

Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-inventoried company vehicle.

Qualifications

HVAC certification (Red Seal or equivalent) and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.

Proven experience servicing residential and commercial HVAC systems.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Experience with refrigeration systems and control systems is a plus

Technical Skills

Experience working in residential multi-unit and commercial settings.

Additional certifications or training relevant to the role including:

First Aid

Fall Protection

Gas Fitter

Boom/Scissor Lift

Forklift

Interpersonal Skills

Ability to work in various environments including rooftops, crawl spaces, and confined areas.

Work in outdoor settings with exposure to all weather conditions.

Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50lbs) and work with hand and power tools.
