POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join our Service team. This role plays a critical part in testing, commissioning, and servicing custom HVAC systems both in-house and at client sites across North America. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting expertise, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused mindset.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday (44-hour average work week)
Occasional weekend work and extended hours during travel (up to 12 hours/day)
No on-call requirements
Frequent travel within Canada and the US
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Test HVAC units to ensure full functionality prior to deployment
Start-up and commission HVAC systems at customer sites
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and components
Detect refrigerant leaks and recharge systems as required
Interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
Perform pressure testing on piping and tubing joints
Train customers, apprentices, and site technicians on system operation
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
Deliver exceptional customer service and support
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Journeyman Refrigeration Technician (or equivalent)
Alberta Gasfitter “A” or “B” Ticket (asset)
Alberta Electrician Ticket (asset)
Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
Must pass pre-access drug/alcohol screening and background checks
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
Proficient with diagnostic tools and computer systems
Ability to work independently and within a team
