Overview
We are looking for a HVAC & Refrigeration Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. This role focuses on servicing equipment in commercial environments, ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. The technician will perform field service work, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and complete preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems including air conditioning units, condensers, and rooftop equipment
• Service commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-in coolers, freezers, prep tables, and ice machines
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related system failures
• Replace components such as compressors, motors, valves, thermostats, and control systems
• Maintain accurate service documentation including work performed, parts used, and system diagnostics
• Communicate repair findings and service recommendations to supervisors and customers
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and local regulations
• Maintain service tools, equipment, and company vehicles in proper working condition
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience servicing HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC equipment and refrigeration units
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment schematics
• EPA Universal Certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in field service environments
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to service locations as needed
• Strong communication and customer service skills
