HVAC Pipe Fitter - Eastside Refrigeration

Eastside Refrigeration is a well-established Hamilton based Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Service Company playing a key role in Hamilton’s HVAC&R industry for over 50 years. 

We’re looking for a skilled HVAC Pipe Fitter to join our team.

You’ll be responsible for installing, assembling, and commissioning HVAC piping systems for our commercial projects across the greater Waikato. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, safety, and a commitment to quality utilising various piping systems from brazing, thread and compression.  Using various materials including PVC, copper and steel pipe.  

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.

Measure, cut, thread, braze, and install pipes for HVAC systems, Water and Refrigerants.

Fit valves, supports, and insulation to meet NZ standards.

Conduct pressure tests and ensure leak-free installations.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades on-site.

Comply with health & safety regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

NZQA Level 3 or 4 Trade Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Pipe Installation (or equivalent/similar).

Full NZ driver’s licence.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC pipe fitting or similar trade.

Proficient in welding, brazing, and mechanical joining methods.

Understanding of NZ building codes and safety standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
