HUMAN RESOURCE SPECIALIST
ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY:
WB Melback Corporation is a progressive company currently seeking to hire an experienced professional with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to fill the role as Human Resource Specialist. As a key member of the HR Team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced and dynamic company, supporting various HR functions and projects. The HR team ensures that HR processes including full cycle recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, and training are running smoothly. This role offers a competitive salary and extended health benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the whole employee life cycle from on-boarding to off-boarding processes.
Source and attract candidates through identifying and utilizing the latest recruitment tools and strategies.
Recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, and training of employees.
Prepare job postings, resume screenings, interview candidates.
Maintaining and updating employee files.
Effectively manage a high volume of candidates on a national level.
Demonstrate professional competence and maintaining strict confidentiality when handling sensitive documents and employee information.
Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with a high attention to detail.
Other administrative tasks as required.
Some travel may be required with this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent in a relevant discipline, preferred.
CHRP designation or working towards is considered an asset.
Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
Related experience in the field including talent acquisition.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Bamboo HR Software and Indeed preferred.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the organization.
