We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Gas City, Indiana. We have proudly been an employer in the Grant County community for over 50 years and have a diverse work force of 175 awesome people!
Summary:
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for recruiting, hiring and on-boarding all positions in a manufacturing environment. Additional responsibilities include maintaining safety procedures, administering the company's training programs, and preparing the company's weekly payroll through ADP.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Maintain a sufficient workforce for current production levels.
Conduct new hire orientation and assist supervisors with onboarding new employees.
Assess training needs, monitor training programs and oversee and manage performance appraisal systems.
Interpret company personnel policies, benefits and procedures for employees and job applicants
Maintain attendance, vacation and other PTO records.
Maintain and monitor employee benefits programs.
Conduct accident investigations and work with insurance companies for resolution.
Report HR metrics.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent field experience preferred.
3-5 Years experience in Human Resources.
ADP Payroll experience preferred.
HRIS experience preferred.
Microsoft Office Suite: 1 year required.
Must be able to adhere to all applicable regulations such as the EEOC, FMLA, OSHA, etc.
Must be able to work under pressure.
License/Certification:
Professional In Human Resources or SPHR certification (Preferred)
