Freedom Metal Finishing is a rapidly growing aerospace and defense metal finishing company serving major OEM customers. We are expanding operations, workforce, and capabilities and are seeking an experienced HR professional to support our continued growth.
This position will be based in Clearwater, Florida and may also provide HR support to affiliated operations as needed.
Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on HR professional to lead recruiting, performance management, and benefits administration — including implementation and management of company health insurance.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to build and strengthen HR processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The HR Manager/Generalist will work directly with leadership and production management.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting
Lead full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, quality, and administrative roles.
Develop job descriptions and post positions across platforms.
Screen, interview, and coordinate hiring decisions.
Manage onboarding and new hire orientation processes.
Performance Management
Administer annual performance review process.
Train supervisors and managers on performance documentation and coaching.
Support employee development and improvement plans.
Benefits Administration
Lead implementation and ongoing administration of health insurance and employee benefits.
Serve as liaison with insurance brokers and vendors.
Manage open enrollment and employee benefit questions.
Ensure compliance with benefit regulations.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Maintain employee handbook and company policies.
Ensure compliance with federal and Florida employment law.
Address employee concerns confidentially and professionally.
Maintain accurate personnel records.
HR Systems & Reporting
Maintain HRIS and employee data.
Track hiring metrics, turnover, and workforce planning data.
Recommend process improvements to leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–7+ years of progressive HR experience.
Experience in recruiting and benefits administration.
Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR certification.
Manufacturing or aerospace industry experience.
Experience implementing employer-sponsored health insurance.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $75,000 – $105,000, based on experience.
Performance bonus potential.
PTO and paid holidays.

Work Environment
On-site role in Clearwater, FL. Requires regular interaction with production teams in a manufacturing environment.
