Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where processes are still evolving and there is real opportunity to build, improve, and shape HR operations.
As our organization continues to grow, this position will play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, strengthening HR processes, and helping ensure a positive and compliant workplace. The HR Generalist will partner closely with the HR Director and Payroll & Benefits Specialist to support employees and managers across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Lifecycle Management
Coordinate and support full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and reference checks
Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee documentation
Manage offboarding processes including exit interviews and termination documentation
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
Employee Relations & Manager Support
Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, and documentation
Support investigations and employee relations matters in partnership with the HR Director
Assist with the administration and tracking of performance management processes
HR Operations & Process Improvement
Help build, refine, and document HR processes to support a growing organization
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and employee experience across HR functions
Develop tools, templates, and workflows to strengthen HR operations
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives including engagement efforts, training programs, and organizational improvements
Policy & Compliance Support
Support administration and communication of HR policies and procedures
Assist with maintaining the employee handbook and HR documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws
Partner with the Payroll & Benefits Specialist to support leave tracking and employee documentation as needed
Qualifications:
Required
2+ years of experience in Human Resources
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience supporting multiple HR functions such as recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, and HR administration
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and HR compliance practices.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS (BambooHR).
Preferred
Experience in a growing or scaling organization
Experience improving or developing HR processes and workflows
Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance practices
SHRM-CP certification
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
