The HR Associate provides foundational support across HR operations, onboarding, and talent processes. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in building a career in Human Resources. You’ll work closely with members of the HR team to learn core processes, support day-to-day activities, and contribute to a positive employee experience.
Location: Merchants Fleet Headquarters in Hooksett, NH
What You’ll Do:
HR Operations & Data Support
• Assist with entering and updating employee information in HR systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Support the maintenance of employee records and documentation in electronic filing systems
• Help track and organize updates to job descriptions and employee records
Onboarding & Employee Experience
• Support onboarding activities, including preparing materials and assisting with new hire coordination
• Assist with collecting I-9 documentation and ensuring forms are completed accurately
• Respond to basic employee questions and route more complex inquiries to appropriate team members
Recruiting & Talent Support
• Assist with interview scheduling and coordination, including communication with candidates
• Support job posting updates and maintenance across internal and external platforms
• Help coordinate pre-employment processes such as background checks, under guidance from HR team members
Compliance & Administrative Support
• Assist in preparing and organizing documentation related to HR processes (e.g., onboarding, compliance training)
• Support tracking of required employee training and follow up on completion status
• Help respond to employment verification requests and other standard inquiries
Team & Project Support
• Provide administrative support to HR team members on various projects and initiatives
• Assist with planning and coordination of employee engagement activities and events
• Support updates to internal HR resources (e.g., intranet content) as directed

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or in progress)
• Internship or prior administrative experience preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Interest in learning HR systems and processes
