General Description
The Hiring & Recruiting Specialist provides administrative and operational support for the Neighborly’s recruiting, hiring, and employee engagement processes. The position assists with maintaining Bamboo’s ATS, posting job openings, reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. This position also helps ensure job postings, candidate records, and hiring documentation are accurate and up to date. In addition, the role provides HR system updates, and internal communication related to new hires and employee transitions. The position works collaboratively with team members across departments to maintain organized HR records, track workforce data, and provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the recruiting, hiring and onboarding process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes for basic qualifications, and assisting with candidate communications.
Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience.
Assist with maintaining and monitoring recruiting platforms and systems to ensure job postings remain accurate and up to date, including Indeed and Bamboo.
Support participation in external recruiting events such as job fairs and community hiring events to help build the organization’s candidate pipeline.
Assist hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, providing guidance and support as needed, while keeping necessary HR personnel updated.
Facilitate hiring announcements.
Assist with tracking and maintaining HR data, including hiring information, employee updates, and retention-related metrics.
Provide administrative support for HR initiatives such as professional development activities, employee programs, and data tracking efforts.
Contribute to maintaining organized HR files, documentation, and internal resources such as SharePoint or similar platforms.
Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to supporting a positive workplace culture.
Provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources as needed, including document preparation, file organization, scheduling coordination, and assistance with HR projects and initiatives.
General Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in office administration, coordination, or a similar support role; an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
1+ years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition preferred.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruiting activities and administrative tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to coordinate interview schedules, onboarding activities, and HR documentation while maintaining attention to detail.
• High level of accuracy in maintaining HR records, candidate information, and employee data.
• Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness when managing scheduling changes or recruiting process needs.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee, candidate, and organizational information.
Technical
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Comfort with learning and supporting new platforms (e.g., Bamboo HR).
Communication & Interpersonal
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and approachability when interacting with employees, candidates, and hiring managers.Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.
