Overview:
The Human Resources & Payroll Specialist plays a key role in supporting HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee support. This position ensures HR processes run smoothly, employees are supported, and organizational policies are followed.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Time Management: Handles payroll processing, time tracking, PTO updates, and payroll-related compliance and reporting.
Benefits Administration: Manages employee benefits and 401K programs by overseeing enrollments, overseeing wellness incentive program, maintaining records, coordinating with providers, and supporting claims resolution.
Recruitment & Hiring: Manages recruitment and hiring processes by reviewing applications, conducting interviews, coordinating offers and onboarding, administering background checks, and supporting recruitment strategies.
Intern Program: Support intern program recruitment, scheduling, and coordination with educational partners.
HR Compliance: Maintains HR systems and employee records, and assists with HR projects, staff meetings, and internal communications.
Employee Performance and Support: Leads employee discipline across all locations and responds to HR-related employee and management inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in HR generalist, payroll, or benefits roles preferred.
Experience working in a nonprofit organization or a strong desire to work in service driven environment.
