Job Description

Human Resource Business Partner, internally known as the Talent Business Partner (TBP), reports to the Head of HR and is responsible for developing and aligning on strategic people priorities for Red Bull Canada’s Distribution Organization. In this role, you are tasked with ensuring alignment between regional business operations and HR practices and objectives. As a Talent subject matter expert, the TBP provides consulting and coaching to direct reports, departmental leaders, and managers in order to support the business’s vision, mission, and overall objectives. They will provide strategic counsel and consultative partnership to drive growth while ensuring outstanding performance across their respective region. By partnering with Talent Senior Leaders, the TBP’s goal is to maximize engagement, retention, and performance, while translating the strategic vision of leadership into reality for all employees. The TBP will lead with an end-to-end talent management mindset and work to continually create connection and consistency between their client group and Talent.

 

Strategic Talent Leadership and Business Partnership

Drive the people component of the business strategy by translating strategic and operational goals into Talent business objectives as well as providing strategic advice, counsel, and consultative solutions that enable alignment and growth.

Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership capability, and culture initiatives.

Partner with senior leaders, the distribution leadership team, and managers to cultivate high-performance culture and develop top talent within Red Bull Canada Distribution Organization

Lead and develop the Talent Business Specialist through clear and effective goal setting/attainment, motivating, coaching, and providing timely feedback.

Ensure HR Operational excellence in all pillars of HR and drive consistency and scalability of practices throughout all locations.

Partner closely with Talent Centers of Excellence (COEs) to align national and global initiatives with local business needs and ensure effective implementation.

Guide the planning and execution of talent management strategies, including leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.

Provide practical “Best Practice” solutions for the Talent Business Partner team with regard to all “people” matters.

Be the liaison with USA based COEs to drive synergy, excellence, and share best practices

Support the planning and execution of talent management strategies, and programs; support employee engagement and culture work through the Talent Business Partners.

Build strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across Canada through the development of in-depth knowledge of the business and market dynamics both strategically and operationally.

Oversee effective and consistent deployment of Talent programs including organization design, workforce planning, development and utilization, employee/labour relations, and rewards and recognition

Manage coordination and consistency across the full Talent life-cycle including mentoring, performance management, promotions, payroll/benefits strategy, disciplinary action and termination.

Training and Development

Drive talent development strategies that strengthen internal pipelines and support long term retention across the organization.

Identify capability gaps and partner with leadership to implement targeted development initiatives.

Ensure all compliance training and requirements are being completed within designated region.

Participate in the development and presentation of training programs as needed.

Employee Relations

Advise and partner with Talent Business Partner Specialist to assist with coaching and counseling opportunities for employees as well as with leadership.

Advise Talent Business Partners on investigations and employee resolutions as needed in accordance with Company procedures, guidelines and legal obligations.

Champion Red Bull’s performance management and compensation philosophies to ensure consistent and fair application across the organization.

Provide oversight and strategic direction on workplace and non-occupational injury management in collaboration with the Talent Business Partner Specialist.

Compliance

Oversee and manage government compliance and training requirements associated with local provincial labour laws.

Lead the Health and Safety strategy for Distribution

Support leadership in making informed decisions by applying sound judgment within the framework of company policies, procedures, and legal obligations.

3-5 years’ experience managing a team.

Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience across all HR disciplines, including employment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training and development, workers’ compensation, compliance, and conflict resolution.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of general HR practices, employee relations, organizational development, and change management.

Strong leadership qualities with both managers and employees, promoting excellence in team collaboration and individual growth.

Proven consultative capabilities which have effectively influenced or enabled solutions to deliver business results.

Demonstrated analytical thinker who uses data effectively to inform recommendations and drive impactful Talent campaigns and initiatives.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills, as well as project and time management skills.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage constantly changing priorities.

Proven human resources management success in a multi-site environment.

Labour relations experience is considered an asset.

Joint Health and Safety Experience is considered an asset

Strong business acumen, and ability to articulate an understanding of the assigned group’s business model, operations, and financial structure.

Effortless flexibility in interpersonal style; ability to influence and persuade varied constituents.

Significant involvement in resolving and overseeing sensitive, difficult, or confrontational issues.

Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and legal requirements.

Experience juggling multiple priorities simultaneously; relentless attention to detail. 

History of delivering to deadlines with strong follow-up, problem resolution, and strategic skills.

Experience working with and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Exercise and model exceptional and expert judgment that balances trade-off decisions regarding risk.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with familiarity of HR Information Systems

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $118,750  to $131,250 . The actual base salary for this position will depend on various factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and work location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of Red Bull’s bonus plan.
