Human Computer Interaction Researcher Intern

We are looking for a Human Computer Interaction Research Intern to join our Experience Research workstream. The ideal candidate is a passionate creative thinker, who is eager to learn and solve challenging problems. You will be involved in all design and development of vehicle human-to-system interfaces in an integrated and collaborative fashion, supporting design, development, and preparation of deliverables.

In this Role, You Will...:
Work closely with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to identify research needs and develop research strategies Design, plan and execute research activities including but not limited to: field studies, interviews, participatory design, interaction analysis and analogous research Communicate research findings in a clear and meaningful manner to key stakeholders  Synthesize research insights and actionable recommendations to inform product decisions

Qualifications:
Masters and/or Ph.D. in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Robot Interaction(HRI) or Human Factors(HF) Research Experience applying human-centered design and design thinking principles Experience with a wide variety of design research methodologies including but not limited to: field observation, interviews, participatory design, interaction analysis and analogous research Experience creating user profiles and persona (strategic). Passion for exploring emerging technologies and making a positive impact on customers’ lives through your work

Bonus Qualifications:
Experience in tech industry Experience in Automotive and AV industries, or TNC (Transportation Network Company) HF, HRI and HCI related works

Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
