We are seeking a HubSpot Platform Architect to own, evolve, and scale a deeply customized HubSpot ecosystem built for enterprise-grade use cases. This role goes beyond configuration—you will operate as the technical authority for HubSpot across CRM, CMS, automation, and integrations, ensuring the platform is reliable, extensible, and future-ready.
You’ll work extensively with complex, inherited setups, reverse-engineer existing workflows and integrations, and redesign them into clean, maintainable, and well-documented systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both building and untangling sophisticated CRM architectures.

Key Responsibilities
CRM Architecture & Data Governance
Own the technical design and structure of HubSpot CRM across Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, and Custom Objects
Architect scalable data models, pipelines, associations, and lifecycle frameworks
Enforce CRM data quality through validation rules, deduplication strategies, and governance standards
Continuously optimize CRM performance, accuracy, and reporting reliability
Automation & Workflow Engineering
Design, implement, and refactor complex workflows across sales, marketing, and service processes
Build and maintain custom-coded workflow actions using Node.js or Python
Diagnose workflow failures, race conditions, and edge cases in high-volume automation
Establish best practices for automation reliability, testing, and monitoring
CMS & Experience Development
Build and maintain HubSpot CMS themes, templates, and custom modules
Develop reusable, dynamic components using HubL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Partner with design and growth teams to deliver fast, scalable, conversion-focused pages
Manage CMS development through HubSpot CLI and structured local workflows
Integrations & Systems Engineering
Design and maintain robust integrations between HubSpot and external systems (product platforms, ERPs, data services, internal tools)
Work deeply with HubSpot APIs, including Custom Objects APIs, Webhooks, CRM APIs, and OAuth flows
Build backend integration services with proper error handling, retries, rate-limit management, and logging
Ensure reliable one-way and bi-directional data synchronization across systems
Custom Code & Platform Extensibility
Develop and manage HubSpot custom code actions and serverless functions
Securely handle secrets, environment variables, and access credentials
Monitor automation health and proactively resolve failures or performance bottlenecks
Extend HubSpot capabilities beyond native limitations through external services where needed
Data Migration & Platform Evolution
Execute large-scale data imports, exports, and schema migrations with accuracy
Preserve historical data integrity and reporting continuity during migrations
Support CRM transitions involving HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics, or other platforms
Lead refactoring initiatives to modernize legacy HubSpot implementations
Documentation & Cross-Team Collaboration
Create clear technical documentation for CRM architecture, workflows, and integrations
Communicate system design decisions, risks, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Revenue, and Engineering teams to align platform capabilities with business goals

Required Experience & Qualifications
4+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining complex HubSpot environments
Deep expertise in HubSpot CRM, Custom Objects, workflows, and automation
Strong experience with HubSpot CMS, HubL, and custom module development
Proven proficiency in Node.js or Python for backend development and automation
Solid understanding of REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and integration design patterns
Experience integrating HubSpot with external systems at scale
Strong debugging, system design, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have
Experience inheriting, refactoring, and scaling legacy HubSpot setups
Hands-on work with HubSpot custom code actions and serverless execution
Exposure to React, Vue, or modern frontend frameworks for embedded or external tools
CRM migration experience across HubSpot, Salesforce, or Dynamics
Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD workflows
HubSpot CMS Developer or related certifications
