Job Description

Are you a tech savvy, self-starter that loves to understand how things work so you can make them better and more efficient? Do you like solving business problems using technology and process improvement? Then the HR Systems Analyst may be the role for you! You will be responsible for specific modules within our HRIS and our performance management platform. You must understand how users interact with the system and lead changes, implement new functionalities and enhancements, address any user experience gaps, and drive operational efficiencies.

Are you a fit?

You are organized, demonstrate a strong attention to detail, thorough and have good communication skills – both written and verbal. You can provide consultative direction to your internal stakeholders as to how best to meet their needs. You can see and understand the big picture, understanding downstream impacts of system related decisions. You are self-motivated and accountable. You can work independently but also enjoy being part of a team that collaborates to achieve common goals.

Additional Responsibilities

• Partner with HR and key users to assess current-state processes, identify pain points, and recommend system and process improvements that enhance efficiency, data quality, and user experience.

• Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities by developing test scripts, facilitating testing sessions, documenting results, and validating outcomes against business requirements.

• Develop, maintain, and publish system documentation, job aids, process maps, and standard operating procedures to support HR teams and system users.

• Provide tier one and tier two HRIS support by diagnosing issues, resolving system defects, and escalating complex problems as appropriate to internal IT teams or external vendors.

• Act as a subject matter expert for the HR ticket intake and case management process, ensuring accurate triage, appropriate routing, and continuous improvement of intake workflows and automation.

• Monitor and safeguard HR data integrity by conducting regular audits, validating data inputs/outputs, and ensuring compliance with data privacy, security, and retention standards.

• Support HRIS upgrades, releases, and new functionality by coordinating vendor communications, reviewing release notes, assessing impact, and leading change readiness activities.

• Collaborate with external vendors and internal partners to evaluate enhancements, manage integrations, and advocate for system improvements aligned with business priorities.

• Configure, maintain, and optimize assigned HRIS modules and integrated platforms, including testing, troubleshooting, and validation of system changes across the employee lifecycle.

• Participate in HR technology projects, including implementations, enhancements, and decommissioning efforts, from requirements gathering through deployment and post implementation support.

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of product management and/or systems experience.

• Strong personal integrity in working with confidential employee information.

• Ability to elicit, interpret, and translate non-technical business needs into structured system requirements, functional designs, and technical solutions.

• Strong consultative communication skills, with the ability to explain system capabilities, constraints, and tradeoffs to HR and business stakeholders in clear, practical terms.

• Demonstrated stakeholder partnership skills, including active listening, expectation management, and influencing without authority.

• Change agility and adaptability when working in evolving HR technology environments, including shifting priorities and frequent system updates
