Job Description
The HR Specialist is an entry-level role designed for someone who is eager to build a career in Human Resources while also supporting the day-to-day operations of our Naperville office.
You’ll support core HR processes, help create a positive employee experience, and keep the office running smoothly. This role offers hands-on exposure to many areas of HR, with mentorship and opportunities to grow as the company scales.
What You’ll Do
HR Support
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including paperwork, system setup, and orientation coordination
Maintain employee records and support HRIS data accuracy
Serve as a friendly first point of contact for employee questions and route issues as needed
Help coordinate benefits administration and support open enrollment activities
Support recruiting logistics such as interview scheduling and candidate communications
Assist with HR programs including training, engagement initiatives, and performance review cycles
Help ensure compliance by organizing HR documentation and supporting audits as needed
Office Coordination
Support day-to-day operations of the Naperville office, including supplies, vendors, daily mail and general office organization
Help coordinate in-office schedules, meetings, and hybrid collaboration needs
Assist with planning employee events, team meetings, and office gatherings
Be a helpful, go-to resource for office-related questions and needs
What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of experience in an HR, office coordination, administrative, or people operations role
Interest in building a career in Human Resources
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Clear, professional, and friendly communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment
Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience in a SaaS, tech, or high-growth environment
Coursework or certification in HR (SHRM-CP, PHR, or in progress)
Experience supporting a hybrid or in-office team
Experience with BambooHR or a similar HRIS system
Work Location & Schedule
This is a hybrid role requiring 2–3 days per week in our Naperville, IL office, with flexibility to work remotely on other days.
