HR Payroll & Operations Generalist
RCG Group | Athens, Greece (On-site)
We are seeking an experienced HR Payroll & Operations Generalist to join our HR Ops team. This role will support in delivering the Group’s people operations by combining the day-to-day HR support of the employee lifecycle with the accurate end-to-end payroll administration. Acting as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, the ideal candidate will contribute to effective HR processes, support employee engagement, and promote a positive workplace culture, and align day-to-day HR execution as per Group’s organisational goals, while ensuring full compliance with Greek labour and social-security legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
HR administration
Draft, issue and maintain employment documents in line with company policy and Greek labour law.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in the HRIS and physical files.
Administer time, attendance, and leave, including monthly reconciliations and reporting.
Prepare standard HR letters and employee certificates.
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding administration.
Maintain HR templates, process documents, and the HR document repository.
Payroll administration
Operate end-to-end monthly payroll across Group in coordination with the external payroll provider.
Maintain payroll inputs, including hires, exits, salary changes, bonuses, overtime, leave, and allowances.
Reconcile payroll outputs and resolve discrepancies before sign-off.
Administer statutory payroll filings and contributions, including EFKA, ERGANI, FMY, and APD.
Administer ERGANI II submissions for hires, exits, working-time changes, leave, and overtime.
Co-ordinate time and attendance records, anomalies, overtime, and payroll data transfer.
Support the ESS portal for leave, payslips, certificates, approvals, and user queries.
Respond to payroll queries accurately and maintain clear audit records.
Compensation, benefits & vendor coordination
Administer compensation and benefits programmes and liaise with external providers.
Support benefit enrolments, changes, terminations, and monthly invoice reconciliations.
Support salary reviews, bonus cycles, and labour cost budgeting from an HR administration perspective.
Compliance, reporting & HR support
Monitor changes in Greek labour and social-security legislation and update processes accordingly.
Prepare recurring and ad-hoc HR and payroll reports for management.
Support internal and external audits by preparing HR and payroll documentation and reconciliations.
Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and systems.
Support improvements to HR systems, workflows, and controls.
Education & Professional Background:
Degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
4+ years of HR administration experience with hands-on payroll processing or close coordination with an external provider.
Strong knowledge of Greek labour law, social-security, and payroll legislation, including ERGANI, EFKA, and tax-reporting requirements.
Hands-on experience with Greek payroll/HR systems, ideally Epsilon Net HR Suite or Pylon HRM; multi-company experience is an advantage.
Good understanding of payroll integrations, cost allocation, and payroll reporting for audit purposes.
Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel, and familiarity with HR analytics.
Experience supporting audits and preparing compliance-ready documentation is an advantage.
Fluency in Greek and English
