Position Overview
We are seeking a confident and capable HR Generalist to support employees across the full employee lifecycle and partner closely with leadership. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional with hands-on experience, strong judgment, and the ability to navigate complex situations with professionalism and discretion.
This role has a strong focus on recruitment as its top priority, while also supporting broader HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
Lead full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical roles
Draft and post job advertisements in compliance with Ontario legislation
Screen resumes and candidates (including the use of AI-assisted screening tools)
Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers
Support candidate selection and hiring decisions
Partner with managers on workforce planning and staffing needs
Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout
Employee Relations
Act as a first point of contact for HR-related concerns
Address employee issues with fairness, confidentiality, and sound judgment
Support conflict resolution and performance management processes
Assist with workplace investigations as required
Ensure compliance with Ontario employment legislation and company policies
Onboarding & Offboarding
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-end
Coordinate employment documentation and system access
Facilitate orientations and training schedules
Prepare exit documentation and support knowledge transfer
Health & Safety
Support health and safety programs and compliance requirements
Coordinate mandatory training and certifications
Assist with maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
HR Operations & Administration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
Support HR reporting and documentation
Assist in policy development, review, and implementation
Ensure compliance with Ontario employment standards and best practices
Training & Organizational Development
Support training and development initiatives
Contribute to employee engagement and retention strategies
Assist with organizational development and culture-building initiatives
Qualifications
CHRP designation (completed or in progress preferred)
1–2 years of hands-on experience in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role
Strong knowledge of Ontario employment standards and HR best practices
Experience supporting recruitment and employee relations
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments
Comfortable working on-site and collaborating across multiple locations
