Position Summary
B&F Contracting is seeking a bilingual HR Generalist to support day to day human resources operations and serve as a key resource for employees and managers. This role supports a wide range of HR functions including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and driver management.
The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and comfortable working in a fast paced, field driven environment. This position plays an important role in supporting employees, ensuring compliance, and helping maintain a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and HR support
Provide guidance to managers on employee issues and policy interpretation
Assist with employee investigations, documentation, and follow up
Support recruiting efforts including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation
Assist employees with benefit questions and enrollment support
Process employee status changes and maintain employee records
Assist with leave administration including FMLA and other leave requests
Support performance review and compensation processes
Maintain job descriptions and organizational updates
Administer the company driver management program
Monitor driver eligibility and coordinate motor vehicle record checks
Track required driver training and follow up on completion
Maintain compliance documentation and HR records
Maintain employee data in HRIS and generate reports as needed
Requirements
3 plus years of Human Resources experience
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Experience supporting employee relations and manager coaching
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Experience in construction, field based, or multi location environments preferred
Experience with HRIS systems preferred
