Human Resources Generalist
Position Summary
The HR Generalist is directly involved in all aspects of human resources practices and processes. The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in supporting HR operations across the employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. Responsibilities:
Promotes and upholds the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Emtech, LLC in day-to-day activities.
Serve as a trusted HR point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, performance issues, and conflict resolution per Emtech’s Employee Manual.
Help ensure HR policies, handbooks, and procedures align with current legal requirements and Emtech’s values-driven approach.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Understand and manage the full-cycle of recruitment and selection processes — ability to post roles, screen candidates, conduct interviews, coordinate offers, and onboard new hires.
Partner with HR Coordinator and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure a smooth, consistent onboarding experience
Conduct benefits administration including enrollment, life events, and communication with carriers.
Assist with HR reporting, audits, and HRIS maintenance to ensure data integrity.
Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with federal/state employment laws and internal policy standards.
Actively contribute to HR projects that enhance employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
Provide regular reports to management to support decision-making through HR metrics
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
Minimum Qualifications
Proven working experience (5+ years) in Human Resources
People oriented and results driven
Knowledge of HRIS systems and databases
Benefits Administration experience
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent active listening, negotiation, conflict resolution and presentation skills
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Knowledge of Federal/State labor law and HR best practices
Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional air-conditioned office environment with exposure to fluorescent and LED lighting as well as VDT illumination. Noise levels are low to moderate
Conditions of Employment
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
This role is not generally eligible for remote work, telecommuting, virtual or home-based work.
