Our team is built on ownership, performance, and results. We believe great people systems drive great business outcomes — and we are building a People Operations function that scales with the firm’s growth.
About the Role
Zinda Law Group is hiring an HR Generalist to own and operate the firm’s people infrastructure end-to-end. This is not an administrative HR role — this is a high-impact operator position responsible for recruiting support, onboarding, HR systems, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
You will act as the connective tissue between leadership and the systems that allow the firm to scale. Your work directly impacts hiring quality, employee performance, compliance, and overall business growth.
What You’ll Do
Onboarding & Offboarding
Execute structured onboarding across all roles and locations
Coordinate Day 1 readiness, system access, and new hire logistics
Maintain and improve onboarding processes and documentation
Manage offboarding including documentation, access removal, and exit interviews
Training & Development Coordination
Develop, manage, and track completion of required training programs and certifications
Maintain training logs and compliance records
Partner with department heads to identify and close training gaps
Manage LMS or training documentation systems
HR Systems & Data
Own and maintain the HRIS (employee records, compensation, status changes)
Ensure data accuracy across all people systems
Build reports and dashboards for leadership visibility
Manage onboarding documentation, background checks, and I-9 workflows
Compliance & Employee Documentation
Maintain compliant employee files across TX, CO, AZ, and NM
Manage handbook updates, policy changes, and acknowledgments
Ensure compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and state labor laws
Coordinate with legal counsel or PEO partners when needed
Performance Management Support
Manage performance review cycles and ensure timely completion
Maintain documentation and tie reviews to compensation decisions
Support managers with feedback delivery and performance plans
Track KPIs tied to performance and incentives
Process Improvement
Identify and eliminate inefficient or broken HR processes
Build SOPs for recurring HR workflows
Recommend and implement tools to improve efficiency
Report process improvements and impact to leadership
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements
3–6 years of HR Generalist or People Operations experience
Experience supporting recruiting (posting, screening, coordination)
Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Rippling, Gusto)
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a law firm, professional services, or high-growth company
Experience building or improving onboarding programs
Familiarity with legal recruiting (attorneys, paralegals, intake roles)
Experience with ATS platforms (Greenhouse, Lever, JazzHR)
Experience implementing or migrating HR systems
SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred, not required)
Who You Are
A self-starter who takes ownership and executes without being chased
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
A direct and professional communicator
Proactive — you identify problems before they escalate
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
Trusted by leadership for accuracy and follow-through
Trusted by employees for fairness and confidentiality
What Success Looks Like
Recruiting pipelines move quickly with no stalled roles
Onboarding is consistent, structured, and high-quality
Employee records are fully compliant across all states
HR systems are accurate, organized, and actionable
Processes continuously improve and scale with the business
Leadership trusts the People Operations function completely
Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience
20 days paid time off
Medical, vision & dental insurance — 100% of the base medical plan covered by the firm
Simple IRA with up to 3% company match
Ongoing training, mentorship, and real opportunities to advance within the firm
