We’re looking for an HR Generalist to support day-to-day people operations and serve as a trusted partner to employees and managers. This role is hands-on and broad in scope, covering employee lifecycle support, compliance, benefits administration, and recruiting coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with leadership.
Essential Functions:
Employee Experience & Operations
Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, leave, and general HR support
Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee experience
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Assist with performance review cycles, employee changes, and internal communications
Benefits, Leave & Compliance
Administer benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and employee leave
Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (including California requirements)
Assist with leave administration (CFRA, PDL, FMLA) and ensure proper documentation and tracking
Help manage required employee notices and annual compliance activities
Employee Relations
Support managers with employee relations questions and day-to-day people issues
Assist with investigations, documentation, and follow-up as needed
Help promote consistent application of policies and best practices
Recruiting & Hiring Support
Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to support open roles
Assist with job postings, interview coordination, and candidate communication
Support offer processes and new hire setup
HR Projects & Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience
Support HR initiatives and special projects as needed
Help scale people operations as the company grows
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR THIS JOB
3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role
Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices
Experience supporting benefits administration and employee leave processes
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and sound judgment when handling sensitive information
Experience supporting and managing HRIS
