You’ll play a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle and ensuring our HR services run smoothly and efficiently. Your work will involve both high-volume processing and stakeholder support.

Ngā Haepapa Matua | Key Responsibilities (not limited too):

• Supporting recruitment processes, including offer approvals and onboarding
• Providing end-to-end HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle (contracts, parental leave, variations, secondments, exits, and more)
• Processing and interpreting high volumes of HR information with a strong focus on accuracy and detail
• Advising staff and managers on HR policies, processes, and guidelines
• Providing system support (e.g. Workday or similar) and guidance to employees and managers
• Working closely with Faculty support staff and wider HR teams
• Partnering with Payroll and other HR teams to ensure accurate employee data
• Responding to queries across multiple channels
• Building strong, trusted relationships across the organization
• Contributing ideas to improve systems, processes, and service delivery

The role is a full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week)

The remuneration is $63,300 - $70,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

He kōrero mōu | About you

You’ll bring:

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in an HR environment
• Experience supporting the employee lifecycle and the processing of data in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence working with HR systems - experience with Workday would be advantageous (or similar large platforms)
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A good understanding of HR processes, policies, and guidelines
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong customer service focus and ability to manage competing priorities
• The ability to build relationships across a wide range of people
• Experience in a large or complex organisation (such as the tertiary or public sector) would be advantageous
• Familiarity with ticketing or case management systems
• Knowledge of NZ employment legislation
