About the Role
We are seeking an HR Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources function. This role provides administrative and coordination support across core HR processes, including hiring and onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, compliance, and safety coordination.
This position is well-suited for an internal team member or entry-level HR professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in growing their experience.
What You’ll Do
Support daily HR operations under the direction of the General Manager
Coordinate hiring and onboarding activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, offer paperwork, onboarding documents, and new hire setup
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in the HRIS system
Assist with training coordination, scheduling, and record tracking
Support benefits administration, including enrollments, life-event changes, and open enrollment
Track and administer employee leave requests, including FMLA and other applicable leaves; escalate complex cases as needed
Coordinate COBRA notifications and documentation with third-party administrators
Assist with workers’ compensation, vehicle accident, and insurance-related claims
Support 401(k) administrative processes, including enrollments, distributions, and rollovers
Coordinate employee drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, random, reasonable suspicion)
Support workplace safety and compliance efforts, including OSHA logs and accident documentation
Provide employees with guidance on basic HR policies and procedures
Assist with employee relations documentation as directed
Assist on phones with customers as needed
Coordinate employee uniforms, including new hires, changes, replacements, and vendor communication
Track employee-issued items and related deductions or credits
Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Entry-level to two years of experience in an administrative, HR, or office support role preferred
EPA 608 Type II Certification (required within 60 days of employment)
Valid Arizona driver’s license
Must be insurable under the company vehicle insurance policy
Must pass a background check and clean drug and alcohol screening
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to learn HRIS and benefits systems
Customer-service mindset when working with employees, leadership, and vendors
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
Ability to access and move throughout all departments and facilities
