Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR BP to join our Madrid Executive Office on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate will be a trusted HR partner to leadership and employees, driving the execution of HR strategies aligned with business objectives, while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture in line with ALS values.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnering
Partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment between HR strategies and overall business objectives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on all day-to-day HR needs, including talent management, employee relations, HR policy interpretation, and employment standards compliance.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful work culture that reflects the values and purpose of ALS Global.
HR Operations & Process Improvement
Drive the continuous improvement of core HR processes, policies, and procedures.
Support the implementation and optimization of HR systems and tools.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR data across multiple systems, providing regular reporting, analysis, and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process in coordination with an external payroll provider (gestoría), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of monthly payroll cycles.
Manage and monitor employee time and attendance tracking, ensuring proper registration and control of working hours in accordance with Spanish labor regulations.
Health, Safety & Well-being
Act as the key HR point of contact for all HSE matters, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
Coordinate with the external Prevention Service to ensure risk assessments, safety protocols, and preventive measures are up to date and properly implemented.
Ensure employees have access to occupational health surveillance in accordance with legal requirements.
Promote a culture of safety and well-being across the office, driving awareness campaigns and training initiatives on health and safety topics.
Maintain and update all required health and safety documentation, including the Emergency Plan and Risk Prevention Plan.
Performance & Talent Management
Support the L&D Team and managers on feedback delivery, goal-setting, and progressive discipline processes.
Partner with Talent Acquisition Team and managers to execute HR planning, talent assessment, succession planning, and skills development initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Manager role, ideally within a multinational or corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of Spanish labor law and HR best practices.
Proven experience in talent management, performance management, and employee relations.
Experience working with HR reporting tools.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Professional proficiency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
