We are currently recruiting for an HR Assistant to support a U.S.-based ABA therapy company. This role works closely with the Director and plays a key part in supporting day-to-day HR operations, handling administrative processes, and assisting with employee-related matters in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will act as a first point of contact for certain HR matters, support performance-related processes, and assist with research and compliance-related tasks.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Working Hours: Mon – Fri 10:00 am – 7:00 pm EST (16:00 pm - 01:00 am OR 17:00 pm - 02:00 am South African Time, depending on daylight savings in the USA)
• Public Holidays: You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays. Compensation for South African public holidays will be provided in accordance with the BCEA.
• Internet Requirements: Fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download), and support for a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Candidates without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
• Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding or outages. Candidates without backup cannot be considered.
• Work Environment: Fully remote
Key Responsibilities:
• Acting as a first line of escalation for HR-related queries and concerns.
• Supporting annual performance reviews, appraisals, and salary adjustments.
• Assisting with HR documentation and administrative processes.
• Conducting research to support new HR policies and ensure legal compliance.
• Supporting implementation of new processes and procedures.
• Handling ad hoc HR and operational tasks as delegated by the Director.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring organisational consistency.

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Professional, confident, and approachable communication style.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to think critically and apply good judgment.
• Proactive and able to work independently while knowing when to escalate.
• Fast learner who can pick up new tasks with minimal instruction.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook, general system navigation).
