Job Description

Origin Environmental is part of Origin Enterprises PLC and comprises seven specialist sister companies across the UK and Ireland, delivering integrated environmental consultancy services spanning ecology, planning, landscape architecture, archaeology, arboriculture and more.

About the role:

We are looking for an HR Advisor to provide high quality support across the full employee life cycle. You will work closely with managers and the HR & Recruitment team to deliver clear, practical and people focused advice.

The role will be home based with regular travel across the UK and Ireland. 

Provide first-line HR advice on policies, procedures and best practice.

Support employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent processes.

Assist with HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, changes, and leavers.

Maintain accurate HR data and ensure compliance with employment law and GDPR.

Contribute to HR projects, policy updates and process improvements.

Essential Skills/Experience:

HR generalist experience with working knowledge of UK employment law.

Experience supporting ER cases.

Strong communication (both written and verbal), relationship-building and organisational skills.

HR systems and data management experience (e.g., BambooHR, MS applications inc Excel).

CIPD Level 5 (or working towards).

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Experience with restructures, consultations or TUPE.

Confidence producing HR documentation.

Interest or awareness of environmental, agricultural or sports & landscapes sectors.
