Responsibilities:

•Designs, builds and implements infrastructure systems. Follows established procedures to build and install hardware and software solutions

• Provides feedback on procedures. Researches and evaluates new technologies as assigned by senior team members. Assists with establishing criteria for evaluating solutions

• Implements existing IT infrastructure processes and provides feedback on new processes as required. Follows documented procedures to meet compliance and security requirements

• Supports operational activities such as level three system support, root cause analysis, systems validation, performance tuning and capacity management. Works with Operations staff to improve monitoring and alerting activities.

• Mentors and provides guidance to members of other infrastructure teams. Documents procedures, demonstrates support tools and provides ad-hoc training

• Providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative and thorough. Independently develops approach to solutions

• Understanding Company business processes and how applications are implemented within the business units

• Hands-on experience with industry standard operating systems, applications and tools

• Analyzing problems, identifying solutions, recommending and implementing methods, procedure and/or techniques for resolutions

• Leading and participating on multiple projects simultaneously

• Coordinating activities between team members and vendors

• Contributes to the development of policies, standards and processes within the systems engineering function.

• Leads planning and support activities that improve the global operations initiatives

• Performs related duties as assigned. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws

• Represents IT Engineering Services on global project teams through the implementation of new infrastructure systems, including, project planning and adherence to Company’s global project methodologies. Provides status reports and attends team meetings

• Applying best practices for performance tuning of servers

• Upgrades system software and hardware components as required to meet customer needs.

• Maintaining system configuration documentation, including SOPs and IQ/OQ, software installation instructions, operating system installation and system configuration sheets.

• Comply with SOX and IT Compliance protocols.

• 7-10 years of experience in HP-UX Unix administration at small and medium scale environments.

• Troubleshooting database, application and services on HP-UX.

• Extensive HP-UX networking knowledge including but not limited to VLANs, bonding, link aggregation.

• Install, configure, patch and automate HP-UX server builds using Ignite.

• 3-5 years of experience in IBM AIX Unix administration at small and medium scale environments.

• System migrations (P2V Migrations) in the IBM AIX and HP-UX environments

• Expert in installation, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AIX and HP-UX servers.
