Housing Support Worker – Doncaster

About the Role: As a Housing Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs to maintain their tenancies and move towards independent living. You’ll manage your own caseload, working closely with residents in their homes to develop personalised support plans and risk assessments, helping them set and achieve realistic goals. This is a rewarding, people-focused role where building trust and positive relationships is at the heart of everything you do.
Main Duties:
Supporting residents as they move into and out of accommodation
Developing and reviewing person-centred support plans and risk assessments
Acting as a keyworker, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support
Helping residents manage finances, maximise income, and access benefits
Supporting residents to understand their tenancy rights and responsibilities
Encouraging and motivating individuals to achieve personal goals
Monitoring tenancy compliance, rent payments, and property condition
Liaising with external agencies (e.g. Probation Service, local authorities)
Supporting residents to resolve conflicts and build positive relationships
Contributing to resident activities and community engagement
Maintaining accurate records in line with organisational and confidentiality policies
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Target Housing
What We’re Looking For: Someone who is compassionate, organised, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people.
Knowledge & Experience:
Understanding of services for vulnerable groups
Experience or knowledge of supported housing
Awareness of welfare benefits systems
Understanding of risk assessment and support planning
Basic knowledge of the UK judicial system
