What will be your key duties?

Deliver exceptional guest experiences by ensuring rooms and public spaces are spotless, comfortable, and welcoming. Your attention to detail will help create memorable stays in the heart of Valemount’s stunning mountain setting. 

How you’ll make an impact: 

Clean and prepare guest rooms: make beds, replace linens, sanitize bathrooms 

Maintain cleanliness in public areas and common spaces 

Handle laundry duties and assist with linen inventory 

Respond promptly to guest requests and work collaboratively with the team, comfortable interacting with the guests, greeting them warmly, asking about their stay and ensuring they feel valued and cared. Able to relay information of the Village and surrounding areas. 

Follow health and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff 

Qualifications & Experience: 

Previous housekeeping experience is an asset but not required 

Responsibilities are not limited to housekeeping – may be asked to help in all of the departments within the hotel. 

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently 

Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 lbs 

Positive attitude, reliability, and excellent communication skills 

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays 

Criminal record check required under Vantage Hotels policy 

Good command of the English language

Seasonal Work Expectations 

Peak Season:
Expect the busiest periods during winter ski season and summer tourism months. Workloads will be higher, and flexibility is key. 

Variable Hours:
While the role is full-time seasonal, hours may fluctuate based on occupancy and weather conditions. 

Adaptability:
Be prepared for changing priorities—helping in other departments (Front Desk, Food & Beverage, Maintenance) when needed. 

Outdoor Conditions:
You may need to navigate snowy or wet conditions when moving between buildings or assisting guests. 

Extended Shifts:
During holidays and peak weekends, longer shifts or split shifts may be required. 

Rural Location:
Valemount is a small mountain community with limited amenities compared to urban centers. Staff should plan for personal needs and seasonal changes. 🦌

Expect sightings of moose, elk, deer, mountain goats, and occasionally bears 

Birdlife is abundant—eagles, owls, and waterfowl in nearby marshlands

Winter:
Warm, layered clothing, waterproof boots, gloves, and thermal gear for snowy conditions 

Summer:
Light layers, rain jacket, sturdy footwear for trails, insect repellent

Personal toiletries, any specialty items (as rural stores may have limited stock), and gear for outdoor activities if desired
