Housekeeper/Prep Cook for Remote Alaska Camp

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Housekeeping and Prep Cook at one of our remote camps. This dual-role position is essential for maintaining cleanliness and organization across camp facilities while assisting in food preparation. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work independently in a remote environment. Applicants local to Alaska are preferred.

Work Schedule: Minimum 2 weeks on / 1 week off, Site specific

Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties:

Clean and sanitize rooms, common areas, dining facilities, and other designated spaces according to established standards.

Change linens, towels, and amenities as needed.

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, and empty trash receptacles.

Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored.

Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocks are needed.

Prep Cook Duties:

Assist in meal prep, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and following recipes.

Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, ensuring proper storage of food items and cleanliness of cooking utensils.

Follow food safety protocols and health regulations, ensuring safe food handling practices.

Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup as required.

General Responsibilities:

Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth camp operations.

Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.

Adhere to all company policies regarding health, safety, and environmental standards.

Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

ServSafe Certification

Previous experience in housekeeping and/or food service roles is preferred.

Familiarity with cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safe food handling practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as part of the rotation schedule.

Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and carry heavy objects throughout the workday.

Additional Information

Food and lodging provided at the remote camp.

Rotational work schedule of 2 weeks on, 1 week off at a minimum.
