Join Our Team: Arena Housekeeping (Full Time)
Full-Time | Hourly
Location: The Classic Center – Athens, GA
Department: Arena
The Classic Center is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Arena Housekeeping team members to help keep our arena clean, safe, and event-ready. This role is essential to creating a welcoming experience for guests, performers, and staff, and is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in hands-on work and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisors and Managers, Arena Housekeeping staff support daily cleaning operations, event preparation, and post-event cleanup in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. A resume is required for consideration.
What You’ll Do
Work as part of a team to complete daily housekeeping and event-related tasks
Prepare the arena for events and shows as directed by Housekeeping Supervisors and Managers
Support cleaning efforts before, during, and after events
Perform routine cleaning throughout the facility, including dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and glass cleaning
Clean and maintain restrooms, fixtures, mirrors, walls, doors, and public spaces
Monitor and restock supplies in restrooms and public areas
Assist with back-of-house cleanliness and operational efficiency
Work alongside third-party labor partners as needed
Safely operate housekeeping equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, extractors, and restroom machines
Properly store and care for tools and equipment to ensure a safe and organized work environment
Assist with annual equipment inventory
Collaborate with Operations team members and assist with non-routine or additional tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For
One year of experience in a similar housekeeping role, preferably in arenas, convention centers, stadiums, or theaters (preferred but not required)
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, third-party partners, and facility users
Customer-service mindset and attention to detail
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and some holidays
Reliable transportation
Ability to obtain a forklift license
Valid state driver’s license or ability to obtain one
Physical Requirements
This position is active and physically demanding. Team members must be able to:
Lift and carry 25–50 pounds regularly
Walk and stand for extended periods
Bend, squat, kneel, and move throughout the duration of each shift
