Role Overview

The Hostess ensures that every guest feels welcomed, valued, and unique from the moment they enter the restaurant. The role creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, manages the seating chart efficiently, monitors dining flow, and responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.

Key Accountabilities

• Greet, escort, and seat guests courteously, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
• Bid farewell to guests, confirming satisfaction with their dining experience.
• Maintain respectful, attentive, and generous service towards guests and colleagues at all times.
• Ensure tables are cleared and re-set according to reservations and service plans.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant entrance and surrounding areas.
• Monitor and replenish items such as newspapers, magazines, glassware, and reading lights.
• Follow up on special guest requests related to reservations or inquiries.
• Support the Reservations team to maximize occupancy and manage calls, emails, and internal requests efficiently.
• Attend pre-service briefings to stay updated on daily operations and communicate effectively with the team.
• Ensure that service and Back of House areas are kept clean and organized according to luxury hospitality standards.
• Perform additional duties as required by management.


Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Hostess in a high-end restaurant or luxury hospitality environment.
• Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is considered an asset.
• Excellent command of Greek and English (oral and written); additional languages are an asset.
