POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping team member at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and organized environment throughout the facility to support quality patient care and daily operations. This role plays an important part in creating a comfortable and therapeutic atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, offices, common areas, restrooms, and other areas of the facility in accordance with established procedures and infection control standards. This position also assists with the movement of furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to support departmental and operational needs.

Housekeeping staff perform a variety of environmental services duties to help ensure the facility remains well-maintained, orderly, and welcoming at all times. In addition to maintaining cleanliness, this role involves professional and respectful interaction with patients while contributing to a safe and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism while supporting the mission of Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: High School Graduate
License: None
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years housekeeping experience working in a hospital or nursing home environment.
