POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Social Worker at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles is responsible for coordinating and supporting the social services department while working as part of the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
This role collaborates with medical staff, nursing leadership, and families to address patient needs, provide crisis intervention, and support individualized treatment and discharge planning. The Clinical Social Worker advocates for patients, ensures compliance with facility policies, and helps maintain effective communication across all levels of care.
Additional responsibilities include participating in case conferences, supporting quality improvement efforts, and coordinating with external agencies to ensure continuity of care. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, communication skills, and a commitment to ethical, compassionate service.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR EXPIERENCE:
Education: Master’s in Social Work form an accredited school of social work
License: Licensed through the State by the Regulatory Body that is vested to bestow licensure to Social
Workers
Experience: One year experience performing duties as a Social Worker in a Behavioral Health setting
